Adult Stem Cells for Tissue Regeneration: Skin and more

In adult tissue, stem cells with self-renewing capacity are localized at unique microenvironment called as stem cell niche. These stem cells continuously replenish differentiated cell pool to maintain tissue integrity. Recent report suggests that adult stem cells seem to be more plastic than originally expected. Therefore adult stem cells of patients own have been focused as possible candidate cells for regenerative medicine. I wound like to introduce five ongoing researches with adult stem cells in our laboratory.
