Objective: Among the key factor technologies for the realization of Ubiquitous Healthcare, the standardization of bio-signal data from various devices possesses critical meaning in compatibility between medical and clinical information. However, matter of inter-compatibility issue also can occur when medical data transferred between different applications, databases and modules. To support the standardization process in aspect of Ubiquitous Healthcare, we implemented basic works related to the management of standardized data.
Method: Web-based bio-signal data management system consists of bio-signal database building, service scenario setting and system composition. We used body temperature, pulse, breathing, blood pressure, SpO2, and electrocardiogram data as sample signal for our test. Using active server page and extensible markup language, bio-signal data was expressed on the web page from relational database. Template setting and URL query conducted data search and update. For XML commend which supported by SQL XML support composition tool of Internet information system.
Result : We designed Bio-signal database based on Health Level 7, LOINC and developed Bio-signal data management system for incorporating, sharing, searching, inserting and modifying of bio-signal data through the web.
Conclusion : At the Ubiquitous environments, we formed the foundation for integration of medical data with a low cost in case of standardized bio-signal data communication from diverse equipments. So freely exchange and incorporation of data was available. And through XML file uploading function, data inserting and modification was also considered.
