Abstract

 

This paper describes how telecommunication companies determine their billing structures and how they get their customers to work with it.  It will describe different companies and how they implement and promote their billing plans in order to fit the best needs of the customer.  Telecommunications have been transformed by the different measurements that have been implemented in order to return a profit and keep their customers satisfied.  This knowledge and the findings of our research will show that billing structures are crucial for effective telecommunications service management and affect every aspect of the telecommunication industry.

 

Short Biography

 

Young B. Choi is an Assistant Professor of the Computer Information Systems and Management Science Department of James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia.  His current research interests are human factors in telecommunications, wireless telecommunications service management, security management in HIPAA, data mining and visualization for telecommunications service delivery chain optimization and public health care.  He has a diverse international experience of working in industry, research, and academia in telecommunications and computer networking fields.  He received his interdisciplinary Ph.D. degree in Computer Networking and Telecommunications from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1995.

Jason R. Baxter graduated from James Madison University with B.S. degree in Information Technology in May 2005.

Charles A. Cardona is a student of James Madison University.  He is majoring in Integrated Science and Technology.

Chris P. Sanford is a student of James Madison University.  He is majoring in Telecommunications.
