Abstract
Within the coming
decade, there will be a dramatic increase in the availability of inexpensive,
computational powerful mobile devices running applications which use the
Internet Protocol (IP) to access multimedia services over broadband wireless
connections. This paper proposes efficient approach for adaptation of MIPv6
using Diameter in roaming environments. Diameter is responsible for supporting
IP mobility features such as home agent assignment and key distribution which
is needed to securely send BU message to its home agent. Finally, we design
authentication mechanism that mobile station can acquire IPv6 mobility support
as well as network access in roaming environments.
